First time birth, heard too many horror stories and worried about lack of staff at hospital. Wanted a positive birth experience in hospital and best possible start in life for their daughter.Baby M arrived after a couple of pushes, the midwives said Mum managed labour as though she had done it all before.

Clare gave me confidence and helped alleviate any anxieties. I felt very prepared for the birth and that it would be wonderful, happy and exciting. Throughout labour Clare supported me, I was able to lean on her and hold her hand through contractions.
Clare helped my baby latch on straight away, helped me to relax and went over breathing methods. Clare gave me support with so many things.
We hope Clare will be our Doula for our next baby.

First time birth, repeatedly told the baby was large and mother would need a hospital birth/c- section.

Baby M arrived at home, in a birthing pool and he latched on within seconds.
